We were asked by a new client to carry out a refurbishment survey on a three bedroom property prior to the commencement of refurbishment or demolition work in Southend. The survey was conducted to identify and accurately document all asbestos–containing materials present in either the area to be refurbished or the entire building if demolition is proposed. To gain a comprehensive view of the building, the survey involved destructive inspection techniques to access any hard–to–reach areas, and various samples were taken. The report was issued within 48 hours of being on site, and this was necessary before any refurbishment or demolition could begin.
